Strenesse, our latest resource for women, is a German fashion house whose roots go deep. The company’s origins can be traced all the way back to 1949, when the Strehle family founded their first factory in Nördlingen, in Bavaria. They saw rapid expansion through the 1950’s and 60’s, but it wasn’t until the early 1970’s that the fashion side of the house emerged, thanks to daughter Gabrielle Strehle. From 1975 through 1990, under her leadership, the company emerged as one of Germany’s hottest fashion resources – a contemporary style with classic influences and high quality tailoring.
After a whirlwind period of expansion in the 90’s and 2000’s, when Strenesse went public, they opened a menswear line became the official outfitter for the German national football team. Strenesse operates about a dozen stores – about half of them in Germany, including one dedicated entirely to their sportswear division. The Strehle family still remains majority shareholders in the company, and the creative team is now under Natalie Acantrini, whose resume includes major stints with both Jil Sander and Hugo Boss.
